Kamal Mehra & his wife Neelam Mehra invite their friends to a cruise trip to celebrate their wedding anniversary which is nothing more than just a boaster because in actuality things don’t work so well for the couple. Being a part of the city’s elite they constantly face problems like “ humaray dost kia kahenge.” Their business empire is slowly collapsing and they are desperately in need of an investor to hold it together. Each member has his own inadequacies and the problem is nobody talks about it. They look joyful on the outside which in fact is not the case. The movie is a story of the Mehras, a dysfunctional though super rich family. Zoya Akhter is one of the very few directors in the industry who are expected to make good movies but … what’s wrong with Bollywood these days? We go to cinema almost every Friday expecting at least a decent movie and all Bollywood gives is hardly 3 or if we are lucky 4 worthwhile ones a year. Not because it was so good only because the movie runtime was actually 10 days and it gives one sea and all other types of sicknesses. Dil Dhadakne Do, a story of a 10 day cruise trip that actually felt like a 10 day cruise trip.
